Is there an alternative remedy to dog ear infection other than drops?

I'm no vet, but I don't see why hydrogen peroxide won't do the trick. Dilute with 50% water, and spray it into the ear once or twice a week. My sister will use cotton with peroxide to clean her dogs ears.
