Best pointe shoes for wide feet?

I wear street shoe size 9 and have rather wide forefeet due to a habit of walking on the of my feet (demi-pointe technically) that I've had since I was 3. Right now I'm thinking about getting a pair of new Bloch Serenades in 6.5 D. What I'm curious is if D box or the E box would be better (my forefoot measures 4" side to side), or if I should look for another brand.
