Its him and me and her?

ive been datin a guy for a couple of months now. things have gone far. when im with him everything is right. he always shows me love. we spent almost everyday together and calling eachother keeping eachother on check you can say. but before me he was talking to a gurl for 4yrs who lives in la. saved on his phone as my baby. there conversations have always been by phone thats the only way they gotten to be know eachother. he has only seen her once a yr ago and till last summer they said they were gona try to be togheter. since then he has been waiting for her to come. she always says shes coming but never does. and when he wants to go and visit her she says no and says some weird reason like the cops are after her. he tells me his confused but that cant just say bye to her that he has put to much time into it. but he cant leave me eigther. i dont know if to get it over with and say bye to him or just keep on being with him after all he makes me happy and wait
