I want to know if this is detention worthy?

I was in the lidray on a computer at school for project and i saved a pic and didnt need it so went to delet it and in the act my friend stole the mouse and closed the window so unsure if deleted i hit the windows key to open the small searc bar in the start menu then hit r the first letter of the name of the picture and i was still holding the windows on and it thought i was trying to open the command terminal so it showes a error messsge that said i cant cause its student pc and so i did it again unsure why it did it at the time and my friend said do that again and so i did it like ten more times and the librarian gave me a detention for messing with the keybord and now i cant go on a pc for the rest of the year. Do you think this is fair especially me being a straight a student and a clean record?
