Guatemala Adoption???

Adoptions have been suspended for a time now...they should be starting up again soon if not already...the reason was there was found to be a lot of illegalities in the process...some agents and agencies were buying babies or coercing mothers to give them their children for adoption (by saying they would have a better life)...The government put a temporary hold on foreign adoptions until they could put safeguards in place to guaranty that all adopted children were truly eligible for legal adoption...If I was to adopt a child I would definitely go Guatemalan 1st...might be a little more difficult now than it used to be...might be more paperwork...might take a bit longer...But in the end it would definitely be worth it.
